Have you ever had one of those days when a piece of news gets delivered to you that completely changes everything you ever thought you knew? I’m talking earth-shattering news. News that makes you look back at memories and see them in a whole new light. News that makes you look at certain people and realise you’ve just discovered the missing piece to the puzzle you’ve been trying to solve in that person your whole life.
Well, yesterday was that day for Adam.
One of the biggest things in our relationship to date has always been how different our upbringings were. I’ve probably had a few more curves to navigate than he has. But last night as I sat with him, watching him try to respond to the biggest curve ball he’s ever been thrown, I suddenly felt so insanely close to him. We connected on a totally different level, it was a really surreal night on so many levels, but in a weird way I liked it.
